The story of Orlova Chuka cave Once upon a time there were people, who lived in the caves. Their life was hard and they did incredible things just to survive. Caves were their homes, their shelter, and their rescue. Nowadays these people are dead, but the call of the centuries can still be heard
28 km. from Ruse and 11 km from the town of Dve Mogili the amazing Orlova Chuka Cave is located. The entrance opens to the romantic valley of the Cherni Lom River, 40. m. above the river. The total length of the galleries is 12 km. thus being the second longest cave in Bulgaria. In these cave galleries one finds such stunning pageants, that astonishing views, as if created of some magician-stalactites, stalagmites and stalactones interweave in complex figures and forms. In some galleries are found even crystals! |
